The Best Air Jordan Releases of 2022
Upcoming Jordan Releases – 2022
2021 was a record year for Jordans – the shoes that are primarily made for basketball have become fashion statements that saw a massive rise to popularity. There are many contributing factors to the rise in popularity but the main two are social media influences and collaborations. 2021 saw Jordan Brand collaborate with many influencers and companies and it seems like 2022 will keep this up. Currently, it seems like the freight train of Jordan popularity won’t stop anytime soon and thus, today, we bring you a list of the upcoming Jordan releases that have been announced. Of course, as the year goes on, Jordan Brand will announce many more shoes but as of 14 January 2022, these (the shoes below) are the only ones that have been announced.
Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Red Thunder’
Releasing: 15 January 2022
The Air Jordan 4 is one of the most iconic Jordans and is also very popular. This rendition of the Jordan 4 sees Jordan Brand recolour the sneaker in Black and Red with the colourway being named ‘Crimson’. The all black upper of the shoe is a nod to the Jordan 4’s that released in the 90s but the Crimson/Red accents do enough to modernise the shoe. You can see crimson accents in the mesh, midsole, eye-stay and liner of this rendition of the Jordan 4. This shoe will be released on 15 January 2022 and you can expect them to be sold out within seconds.
Air Jordan 1 Mid
Releasing: 18 January 2022
A simple and clean colourway, you can expect this Jordan 1 Mid to be an instant hit. Jordan Brand describes the colourway as Black – Particle Grey – White – Gym Red; these simple, understated colours blend together to make a great rendition of the Air Jordan 1 Mid. The upper and toe box of the shoe is mostly grey with black inlays. The midsole of the shoe is a pure white while the logos that adorn the shoe on the side and tongue are of the gym red colour. You can expect this shoe to be an instant hit and to sell out pretty quickly so be prepared for the January 18 2022 release of this sneaker.
Air Jordan 5 Low ‘Arctic Orange’
Releasing: 20 January 2022
The Air Jordan 5 Low ‘Arctic Orange’ is a reimagined version of the original Air Jordan 5. The Low version of the Jordan 5 takes the ‘top’ (area around the heel) off of the shoe and leaves a sleek sneaker that has been dubbed the Air Jordan 5 Low. The upper of this particular colourway is called ‘Arctic Orange’ and it is almost a pastel pink type colour that complements the Siren Red of the midsole well. This seems more like a woman’s shoe rather than a men’s one so it may be popular in smaller sizes. This rendition of the Air Jordan 5 Low releases on 20 January 2022 so get ready as that time will be here soon!
Air Jordan 1 Mid Motorsport
Releasing: 21 January 2022
This is another upcoming colourway of the Jordan 1 Mid but a quick glance at the shoe tells you that Jordan Brand have decided to be experimental about this shoe. The colourway of the shoe is described as black – gym red – white – university gold. The start of the shoe (toe box area) begins like the Air Jordan 1 Chicago colourway but as you progress towards the back of the shoe, the colours start to change. The back of the shoe (heel area) is of the university gold colourway and the Nike Swoosh is of the same University Gold colour. This seems like a colourway that one will either love or hate and personally, I don’t know what side I am on yet. Another thing that makes this rendition of the Air Jordan 1 Mid standout is the small details that Jordan Brand have added around the shoe. The midsole features text that says Jordan in a racer style font; the upper of the shoe features a small 23 and the back of the shoe features a patch. Jordan Brand doesn’t usually meddle with the upper of the shoe by adding small details so it is refreshing to see that Jordan Brand is constantly innovating and evolving to keep the hype up. This particular version of the Jordan 1 Mid that has been dubbed the ‘Motorsport’ and you can be sure that it will fly off shelves when it releases on 21 January 2022.
Air Jordan 5 ‘Racer Blue’
Releasing: 12 February 2022
The Air Jordan 5 is one of the most iconic silhouettes that you will ever see. When it was released, it completely changed up the sneaker game and it’s hype has still not faded to this day. Personally, the Jordan 5 is one of my favourite sneakers of all time and I’m excited for this Racer Blue version of the 5. The colourway of the shoe is describes as Black – Racer Blue – Reflective Silver. The main part of the shoe (the upper) is of a simple black colour while the tongue is of the Reflective Silver colour. The midsole and logo of the shoe is of the Racer Blue colour and the blue complements the black well. Overall, this is a more subtle, refined version of the Jordan 5 and it looks great. It is almost a rendition of the Jordan 5 that pays homage to the colourways released by Jordan Brand in the 90s. You can be sure that the Air Jordan 5 Racer Blue will sell out within seconds when it releases on 12 February 2022. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Marina Blue’** **Releasing: 16 February 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG Marina Blue is the first Jordan 1 High release (that has been announced as of January 2022) of the upcoming year. The Jordan 1 High OG Marina Blue is set to be an instant classic; a quick look at pictures of the Jordan 1 High OG Marina Blue make it clear that this shoe will be one of the biggest hits of 2022. Personally, I am in love with this shoe and I am very excited to get my hands on this pair of shoes when it releases in February of 2022. The colourway of the shoe, as described by Jordan Brand, is Dark Marina Blue – Black – White. The main part of the shoe is Black with the inlays and swoosh being of the Dark Marina Blue colour. The midsole of the shoe is a pure white while the laces are of the same Dark Marina Blue colour. Overall, you can expect the Jordan 1 High OG Marina Blue to fetch a pretty penny on the secondary market after it releases on **16 February 2022**. ## **Honor The Gift x Jordan Why Not Zer0.5** **Releasing: 17 February 2022** The upcoming release of the Honor The Gift x Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 sees Jordan Brand collaborate with a smaller brand by the name of Honor The Gift on the Jordan Why Not Zer0.5. The Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 is a basketball sneaker that was released by Jordan Brand in collaboration with a basketball star that has been under fire recently, Russell Westbrook. As time goes on, Westbrook seems to become more of a laughing stock across the basketball world but you can be sure that he’ll bounce back and put out another flurry of great numbers on the court. This version of Westbrook’s signature shoe sees Jordan Brand collaborate with Honor The Gift, a street fashion label established by a Californian native in 2016. Honor The Gift is one of the fastest growing indie labels in the world that has become known for its graphic design and quality. While Russell Westbrook’s on court performance is still questionable as of now, his fashion game off the court is one of the most respected in the whole league. The Honor The Gift x Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 seems like it will be released in limited quantities to keep the hype of the shoe up; you can be sure that this shoe will sell out within seconds of going on sale. The colourway of the Honor The Gift x Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 is described by Jordan Brand as ‘Beach – Rattan – Vast Grey – Off Noir. This shoe will release on 17 February 2022 so note this date in your diaries. ## **Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 8 SE** **Releasing: 18 February 2022** The Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 8 SE sees Jordan Brand give a young Japanese athlete the chance to reinvent one of the classics of past times. Rui Hachimura is a Japanese athlete that current plays within the NBA, for the Washington Wizards. Hachimura has been described as a great talent and as a basketball fan, I am excited to see him progress over the years. It seems as if the talents of Rui Hachimura as a basketball player are reflected in his creativity off the field too. The Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 8 SE is a good looking shoe (not my favourite shoe designed by player but don’t let that take away from the fact that it is still a great looking shoe) and it is sure to become one of the classics of this generation. The colourway of the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 8 SE is described as ‘Twine – Gym Red – Black – Sesame’. The ‘SE’ that comes in the title of the shoe stands for Special Edition so you can be sure that Jordan Brand will release the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 8 SE in limited quantities. So, if you are trying to grab a pair for yourself, write the date of release, **18 February 2022**, in your diaries and be prepared to check out quickly. ## **Air Jordan 12 ‘Playoffs’** **Releasing: 19 February 2022** The Air Jordan 12 ‘Playoffs’ has the formula of success – it takes a proven, iconic silhouette and puts a nice twist on it. A quick look at the Air Jordan 12 ‘Playoffs’ will tell you all you need to know; I can almost guarantee that it will be a hit among sneaker lovers and resellers alike. The colourway of the shoe is simple and clean and this is the main reason why it will be successful. The colourway of the shoe is described as Black – White – Varsity Red. The front of the Air Jordan 12 ‘Playoffs’ is of the pure white colour and so is the midsole and outsole. The back of the shoe is of a Black colourway while the Jumpman logo is of the Gym Red colour. When this shoe releases on **19 February 2022**, you can be sure that it will sell out within seconds and sell for quite a lot on the secondary market. ## **Air Jordan 3 Cardinal** **Releasing: 24 February 2022** The Air Jordan 3 Cardinal seems like a nod to the Jordan colourways of past times. The colourway of the shoe is described as ‘White – Light Curry – Cardinal Red – Cement Grey’ and you can tell from the colourway that the designers at Jordan Brand have concocted a recipe for success. The shoe has been termed the Cardinal but I am not sure if this is a nod towards the Cardinals of the Catholic Church, who also wear Red uniforms (it probably is but I don’t know for sure!). The Air Jordan 3 Cardinal is another one of those shoes that you expect to sell out very quickly. The upper of the shoe is constructed from a pure white material while the midsole, sock liner and eyelets of the Air Jordan 3 Cardinal are of the Gym Red colour. The Air Jordan 3 Cardinal also features the Elephant Grey material that Jordan Brand has been incorporating into recent versions of the 3. This shoe drops on **24 February 2022** and expect it to sell for a pretty penny on the secondary market. ## **Air Jordan 4 ‘Blank Canvas’** **Releasing: 24 February 2022** The Air Jordan 4 ‘Blank Canvas’ is literally a blank canvas of a shoe. Jordan Brand have left the shoe in a ‘Sail’ upper (similar to the one that can be seen on the Off White x Air Jordan 4) that appears to be like a blank canvas. This shoe will become popular amongst sneaker customisers who like to add their own touch to sneakers through the use of paint and brushes. The Sail colour will also complement a whole variety of other colours and thus, will be good for a whole variety of ‘fits’. Sail is almost a pastel colour; you can imagine this shoe as the Air Jordan 4 x Off White, minus the Off White additions to the shoe (RIP Virgil Abloh!). You can expect this shoe to do very well because of the new take in terms of the colourway and because of the fact that the Jordan 4 is one of the most popular models by Jordan. Personally, I am a big fan of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Blank Canvas’ myself and I will be gunning for the shoe when it releases on **24 February 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood** **Releasing: 26 February 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood is the second release of an Air Jordan 1 High OG in the year 2022. The colourway of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood will split sneaker lovers; some sneaker enthusiasts will fall in love with the bold colourway, while others will shy away from it. Personally, I am undecided as of yet as I feel that many Jordans look better in hand when compared to pictures of the shoe. This particular shoe, the Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood, has history behind it. The shoe takes inspiration from the basketball player’s fraternity Omega Psi Phi – this was an African American fraternity that was founded in 1911 and was a fraternity that Micheal Jordan was a part of when he was at the University of North Carolina. The colourway of the shoe has been described as ‘University Gold – Light Bordeaux – White’. The toe box of the shoe is of the university gold colour while the light Bordeaux (almost a purple colour) resides on the inlays. The white comes from the midsole and leather region beneath the swoosh. One thing that sets the Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood apart from other Jordan 1 High’s is the fact that the toe box and leather region beneath the swoosh are of different colours. The colours of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood mean it will definitely not go with many colours, however, I think it will still do well as a shoe. The Air Jordan 1 High OG Brotherhood releases on **26 February 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 1 Low OG Chinese New Year ‘Year of the Tiger’** **Releasing: 28 February 2022** With the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’, Jordan Brand has continued the tradition of releasing a shoe on the Chinese New Year. The Chinese zodiac for 2022 is the Year of the Tiger and this is the main inspiration for the design of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’. While this shoe’s initial release in Greater China on December 30 was limited to just 5000 pairs, we don’t know (as of yet) what Jordan Brand has limited the global release to. When you think of a Tiger, you think of stripes and this is what has inspired this rendition of the Air Jordan 1 Low. The toe box region of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ is made up of black stripes on a background of a cream leather. The same cream leather is seen on the forefoot of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ as well as on the lower heel overlays. There’s a few bold orange accents too to pay homage to the striking colour of a Tiger. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ also gets a custom insole that features pictures of trees and tigers. Overall, this shoe is more of a collectors item rather than a shoe that one would wear but this may depend on the quantity of the shoe that Jordan Brand decides to release on **28 February 2022**. ## **Chinese New Year Drops** **Releasing: 28 February 2022** On the same day as the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ drops, Jordan Brand will also release 2 other shoes to commemorate the Chinese New Year. One of these will be the **Air Jordan 6 Low GC ‘CNY’** – compared to the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’, this Chinese New Year inspired shoe is fairly restrained. The colourway of the shoe has been described as ‘Spruce Aura – Metallic Gold – Spruce Aura’. The upper of the Air Jordan 6 Low GC ‘CNY’ is of the Spruce Aura colourway, which seems to look like a dull white or cream in pictures, and the midsole of the features Metallic Gold accents. Jordan Brand has not specified the quantity of this shoe will be released when it drops on 28 February 2022 but it will most likely be a limited release. The second release that drops on the same day will be the Jordan Legacy 312 CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’. While not apparent at a quick glance, the Jordan Legacy 312 CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ incorporates small details from the Ge kiln making art form. The sneaker features a white leather base on the upper with light jade and metallic gold accents. The mid foot strap, which is what sets the Jordan Legacy 312 apart from the Jordan 1 High, features Nike branding in the same metallic gold as the accents. As you probably know, the Jordan Legacy 312 draws inspiration from the Jordan 3 for the midsole and this can be seen on the Jordan Legacy 312 CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ too. This shoe has already dropped in Greater China on 30 December 2022, but the global release of the Jordan Legacy 312 CNY ‘Year of the Tiger’ is on **28 February 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 6 ‘UNC’** **Releasing: 5 March 2022** The Air Jordan 6 is up there in terms of best sneaker silhouettes to ever be released - there’s just something about the shoe that works. When you put the University of North Carolina’s colours on top of the shoe, you have a shoe that is determined to be a hit in terms of popularity. The colourway of the shoe is described as ‘White – University Blue – Obsidian’. As with most releases from the originals (by the originals, I mean the shoes that were released in the 90s and 2000s), the Air Jordan 6 UNC comes with a bit of history. The University of North Carolina was the place where Micheal Jordan decided to go after his high school journey and he made quite an impact there. The last time we saw the UNC colourway hit a pair of shoes was with the Air Jordan 1 last year. In my opinion, the Air Jordan 6 UNC will become a fan favourite like the Air Jordan 1 UNC did. The Jordan 6 UNC has a University Blue nubuck upper with white leather overlays. The obsidian, which looks more like a navy blue, is seen on the sock liner, tongue and midsole. The Air Jordan 6 UNC will hit shelves on **5 March 2022** so note down the dates in your diaries if you are a fan or if you are a reseller because you can be sure that the shoe will do well on the secondary market. ## **Air Jordan 6 ‘Mint Foam’** **Releasing: 8 March 2022** Well, well, well – here we go again with another Jordan 6 release. The Air Jordan 6 ‘Mint Foam’ is the second Jordan 6 release of the year and it comes only 3 days after the release of the Air Jordan 6 UNC. The colourway of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Mint Foam’ is described as ‘White – Pure Platinum – Mint Foam’ by Jordan Brand; the upper of the shoe is of the Pure Platinum colour (which almost looks grey) and the shoe has White overlays on it. The Mint Foam colour is seen on the midsole and pull tab of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Mint Foam’. Overall, this is a simple and clean colourway by Jordan Brand that will catch the eyes of true sneaker lovers. It’s release date is on **8 March 2022** so be ready! ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Rebellionaire’** **Releasing: 12 March 2022** Every so often, we see an interesting release by Jordan Brand that goes out from the usual outlook of the brand. With the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Rebellionaire’, Jordan Brand goes back to 1985 and takes a look at the famous Banned commercials. The title is a play on words that points to the fact that the ban that was placed on the Jordans in 1985 eventually led to Micheal Jordan becoming a billionaire; the ban boosted Jordans to an unprecedented level of popularity. The shoes actually feature text that says ‘They can not stop you from wearing them’ – this is a direct reference to the 1985 Banned commercials that were released by Jordan Brand at the time. The shoe also features the Red X motifs at the heel of the shoe that were seen on the 2011 Air Jordan 1 Banned. The design, and history behind the shoe, makes it one of the most desirable shoes of 2022. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Rebellionaire’ will easily be one of the most sought after shoes for both resellers and sneaker lovers too so get ready for its release on **12 March 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 4 ‘Zen Master’** **Releasing: 19 March 2022** The Air Jordan 4 ‘Zen Master’ is a tribute to one of the greatest coaches of all time, Phil Jackson. Phil Jackson’s unique style of coaching gave him the nickname ‘Zen Master’ early in his time as coach, and if you have watched the Last Dance (definitely a recommendation from my end if you haven’t watched it as of yet), you know the impact Phil Jackson had on those who he worked with. Thus, to honour his coach and his friend, the Air Jordan 4 ‘Zen Master’ has been drafted by the creative minds at Jordan Brand. Now let’s move onto the shoe – the shoe is actually one of the most innovative and creative designs by Jordan Brand that is releasing in the upcoming year. The Air Jordan 4 ‘Zen Master’ features a galaxy like upper in a light purple type colour with translucent rear clips; it’s something to behold really. The Air Jordan 4 ‘Zen Master’ is accented with black and white and the midsole of the shoe is of a grey colour. There are rumours among the sneaker community that the shoe will be debuted with special tags but Jordan Brand has not announced this as of yet. This is one of the most hyped sneaker releases of the upcoming year because of the innovative design and because of the interesting story behind the shoe – get ready for the release of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Zen Master’ on **19 March 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 5 ‘Jade Horizon’** **Releasing: 25 March 2022** March of 2022 sees Jordan Brand release another rendition of the Air Jordan 5. The colourway for the Air Jordan 5 ‘Jade Horizon’ is dubbed ‘Jade Horizon – Light Silver – Anthracite – Pink Glaze’ by Jordan Brand. The upper of the shoe features an aged look that is given by the Jade Horizon nubuck upper and it looks great in pictures at least. The tongue, laces and sock liner are of a light grey colour while the midsole is of the Anthracite colourway. Overall, this is more of a niche release – this shoe won’t appeal to all sneakerheads and that’s acceptable. If you are intrigued by this shoe, get ready for its release on **25 March 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 3 SE ‘Muslin’** **Releasing: 26 March 2022** The Air Jordan 3 SE ‘Muslin’ sees Jordan Brand experiment with a material that they don’t usually use – canvas. In some ways, the low cut silhouette of the Air Jordan 3 is the perfect shoe for a canvas material. The colourway of the shoe has been described as ‘Muslin – University Red – Cement Grey – Sail’. The Air Jordan 3 SE ‘Muslin’ seems like it is an ‘aesthetic’ shoe that is made to be worn with earthy tones; this rendition of the Jordan 3 sees the brand move away from the normal leather uppers that we see on the shoe and I’m all for it. If you are interested by the Air Jordan 3 SE ‘Muslin’, be sure to checkout quickly when it releases on **26 March 2022**. You can be sure that the shoe will be released in limited quantities (and thus do very well on the secondary market) because of the fact that it is a Special Edition release. ## **Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Sapphire’** **Releasing: 30 March 2022** The first release of the Air Jordan 7 in the upcoming year is a Special Edition release by Jordan Brand. This particular shoe is said to feature an ACG-inspired aesthetic; the Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Sapphire’ features a light Shimmer upper with pops of black that contrast against the pink hues of the overlays. The Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Sapphire’ also has semi-translucent sheath panelling at the ankle and mid foot that allows this rendition of the 7 to stand out; this could also be the reason that this particular shoe is a Special Edition release. You can be sure that this Jordan 7 will sell out within seconds so be ready for its release on **30 March 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 13 ‘Del Sol’** **Releasing: 31 March 2022** The last day of March sees Jordan Brand release a rendition of one of the most iconic Jordan silhouettes, the Jordan 13. The colourway of the shoe has been described as ‘White – University Red – Del Sol – Black’. We don’t know much about this shoe apart from the colourway but you can be sure that this version of the Air Jordan 13 will do well in terms of popularity. You really can’t go wrong when you have an iconic silhouette like the 13 as the base for a shoe. The Air Jordan 13 ‘Del Sol’ is set to have a wider release compared to other shoes that will be released this year. Thus, if you are into this shoe, be sure to try get this pair when it releases on **31 March 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 9 ‘Particle Grey’** **Releasing: 31 March 2022** The last day of March sees another release by Jordan and the first release of the Jordan 9 in the upcoming year. The Air Jordan 9 ‘Particle Grey’ features the recipe of success that has been mentioned in this article; the creative minds at Jordan Brand know how to make a hit. With the Air Jordan 9 ‘Particle Grey’, they follow that recipe to a tee. They start with an iconic silhouette (the Air Jordan 9 in this case) and they reinvent the shoe by putting simple colours on it. The colourway for this rendition of the Air Jordan 9 is ‘Black – University Red – Particle Grey – White’. The upper of the 9 is of the black colour, and the lower half of the upper is of the Particle Grey colour that this Jordan gets its name from. The midsole of the shoe is of a pure White colour while the Jordan logo is of a University Red colour. Like all Jordan 9s, the Air Jordan 9 ‘Particle Grey’ features a 23 on the heel. This Jordan will release on **31 March 2022** so be sure to note this date in your diaries. ## **Air Jordan 13 ‘Brave Blue’** **Releasing: 2 April 2022** The Air Jordan 13 ‘Brave Blue’ is the first release of April by Jordan Brand and it sure does start the month off in a strong way. Once again, the creative minds have followed the recipe of success and have created a very good looking shoe that will do well when it releases on **2 April 2022**. The colourway for the Air Jordan 13 ‘Brave Blue’ has not been specified by Jordan Brand as of yet but a few leaks and rumours suggest that the shoe will feature a Blue and Black upper that will be paired with a pure white midsole. We will most likely receive updates about this shoe in the upcoming weeks so stay posted! ## **Union x Air Jordan 2** **Releasing: 8 April 2022** 8 April 2022 sees 2 releases by Jordan Brand in collaboration with Union, a Los Angeles Brand that ‘walks the line between fashion and function’ (according to them!). If you are a sneakerhead, you’ll know that this isn’t the first time that Jordan Brand and Union have collaborated – the two get together last year to reinvent a classic, the Air Jordan 4. The Air Jordan 4 x Union collaboration did very well in terms of popularity and the sales; the shoes also did very well on the secondary market where they sold for in the thousands of dollars. The Air Jordan 2 doesn’t really compare to the 4 in terms of popularity and success as a silhouette. The Jordan 2 is often overlooked and cast aside when thinking about retro Air Jordans. In his impeccable line of shoes, the Air Jordan 2 just didn’t live up to the expectations of the designers. However, don’t let this take away from this shoe. It has had a sudden resurgence in popularity, specifically after the 2 pack of Air Jordan 2’s that Virgil Abloh, rest in peace, reinvented last year. In an attempt to keep the hype of the Air Jordan 2 up, Jordan Brand has allowed Union LA to work on the 2. The first of 2 colourways that will be releasing on **April 8** is the Grey Fog colourway. The grey fog colourway takes a new stance on the Air Jordan 2, different to anything that we have seen before. The shoe includes a construction of nylon and suede and has added perforations to the overlays on the shoe. The plastic clips that can be seen on most versions of the Jordan 2 have also been removed for the upcoming release of the Air Jordan 2 x Union ‘Grey Fog’. The colourway of the shoe can be described as tonal and earthy, with most of the shoe being predominantly white and grey. There are subtle accents of university blue that are dotted around the shoe to spice it up and give the shoe a bit of character. The heel area of the shoe also features a label which has the Wings logo that can be seen on the Air Jordan 1; it also reads HO21 (holiday 2021) which indicates that the shoe was initially meant to be released in the holiday season of 2021 but evidently, it was pushed back to April of 2022. The second shoe that will be releasing as part of the Air Jordan 2 x Union pack has been dubbed the ‘Rattan’. The pair is fairly similar to the Grey Fog release in terms of design but features a few different, much warmer colours. The ‘Rattan’ features a rattan coloured suede upper and features orange accents to replace the university blue accents that are seen on the Grey Fog version of the Air Jordan 2. Overall, you can be sure that the Union x Air Jordan will sell out within seconds and most of us will have to pay sky high prices to resellers to get these shoes. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heritage’** **Releasing: 9 April 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heritage’ arrives with a White bred colourway – it takes the traditional Bred colourway and flips it. The toe box, swoosh and heel area of the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heritage’ come in a University Red colour while the leather upper that the swoosh rests on is of a white colour. The sock liner, Wings logo and the laces of the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heritage’ are of a black colour. The midsole is of a white colour while the outsole of the shoe is of a red colourway. This seems like a shoe that will divide sneaker lovers into 2 different categories – those who love it and those who hate it. Overall, the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heritage’ is a good sneaker – it is not my favourite Air Jordan 1 High release of the year but it may be different for you. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heritage’ release on **9 April 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’** **Releasing: 23 April 2022** The Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’ honours the historic regular season of 1995-96 that the Chicago Bulls had when they won 72 out of 82 regular season games. The 72-10 record is the second best regular season performance of all time with the 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors’ season topping it; the ’96 Chicago Bulls team is still regarded as one of the best teams of all time by sports pundits. The Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’ honours the memory of the 1995-96 regular season but we still don’t know what the shoe will actually look like. Rumours and mock-ups suggest that the Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’ will feature a white midsole, a tumbled leather mudguard and a suede black upper. Furthermore, this rendition of the Jordan 11 will feature metallic red accents to honour the red uniform of the Chicago Bulls. Overall, you can be sure that the Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’ will do well in terms of popularity but how it does well on the secondary market depends on how many pairs Jordan brand will release. This version of the 11 will release on **23 April 2022** so get ready! ## **A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 2** **Releasing: 29 April 2022** The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 2 has been confirmed to release in Spring 2022. A Ma Maniere’s efforts as a brand and as a collaborator with Jordan Brand have been recognised globally. A Ma Maniere is actually just a store that comes under the Whitaker Group owned by James Whitaker; A Ma Maniere operates out of Atlanta, Georgia and sells luxury clothes. The first two collaborations by A Ma Maniere last year, the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3, did extremely well in terms of popularity. Many sneakerheads and sneaker pundits believe that the A Ma Maniere collaborations with Jordan Brand last year were the best sneakers that were released all of last year; this really says something about the success of the brand as a re-designer of Jordan Classics. It is clear that the higher ups at Jordan Brand have recognised that A Ma Maniere currently has the formula for success. Thus, we see Jordan Brand giving A Ma Maniere creative freedom over the Air Jordan 2, a model that Jordan Brand is currently trying to push. The Jordan 2 is currently getting the biggest collaborations of the upcoming year and this is because of the fact that Jordan Brand is trying to increase the popularity of the Jordan 2. The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 2 currently hasn’t been sighted but rumours suggest that the shoe will arrive in a sail, burgundy crush and black colourway. Many sneakerheads have made mock-ups of what they think the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 2 will look like but we can’t be sure so we’ll keep you updated when the appearance of the shoes is leaked. The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 2 will release on **29 April 2022** and you can be sure that this rendition of the Air Jordan 2 will do well when it releases and will do well on the secondary market too. ## **Air Jordan 1 High ’85 ‘Georgetown’** **Releasing: 30 April 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High ’85 ‘Georgetown’ is the next version of the Air Jordan 1 that joins the line up for the upcoming year of 2022. Reports say that the shoe will replicate a sample that was drafted up in the years of 1984 – 1985 and will release the sample to the wider public. While we don’t know what the shoe will actually look like, we know that the Jordan 1 will come in a ‘Georgetown’ colourway. The upper of the shoe is said to come in Tech grey leather uppers, navy leather overlays and rubber outsoles. Additionally, the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 ‘Georgetown’ will feature white nylon tongues and mid soles. You can be sure that the shoe will do quite well because of the history of the shoe; everyone loves a shoe with a bit of history and thus, you can expect the shoe to do rounds on the secondary market. If you are interested in owning a bit of history, get ready for the release of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 ‘Georgetown’ on **30 April 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Iron Ore’** **Releasing: 30 April 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Iron Ore’ also releases on **30 April 2022**. This shoe is expected to arrive as a Women’s only release; it was initially supposed to release in time for Valentine’s Day but it was pushed back. We don’t know much about the shoe except the fact that it will come in a ‘Light Iron Ore – Varsity Red – Sail’ colourway and the fact that it will release on the last day of April. Mock-ups of the shoe suggest that it will be a simple and clean shoe that won’t attempt to push the barriers of design. As a result of its clean look, you can be sure that the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Iron Ore’ will do quite well on release day. ## **Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Pure Violet’** **Releasing: 30 April 2022** Only a week after the release of the Air Jordan 11 Low ‘72-10’, Jordan Brand releases another rendition of the Air Jordan 11 which has been named ‘Pure Violet’. The shoe comes in a simple formation with pure white finishes applied to the upper, tongue, laces and mid soles of the shoe. The pure violet colour, where the shoe gets its name from, will adorn the mudguard. This will be another shoe that won’t arrive in Men’s sizes. The Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Pure Violet’ is a women’s, toddlers and infants only release that will arrive on **30 April 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 3 ‘Desert Cement’** **Releasing: 30 April 2022** The last day of April sees a flurry of releases by Jordan Brand; another shoe that will be releasing on the day is the Air Jordan 3 ‘Desert Cement’. This shoe sees Jordan Brand tweak the design of the OG cement Jordan 3 (an iconic shoe) by changing a few colours here and there. The natural grey colours that were seen on the OG Cement rendition of the Jordan 3 are replaced by a natural, desert coloured hue (a light brownish type of colour). The Air Jordan 3 ‘Desert Cement’ will also see the Jumpman logo return to the heel of the shoe, instead of the Nike Air logo that is seen on the OG Cement 3s. Rumours suggest that the shoe will also have elephant print insoles. The shoe will release in both mens and toddlers sizing so get ready for the drop of the Air Jordan 3 ‘Desert Cement’ when it releases on **30 April 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 5 ‘Easter’** **Releasing: 30 April 2022** April sees another release of the Air Jordan 5 with it definitely being the shoe of choice for the creative minds at Jordan Brand. This special edition of the Air Jordan 5, dubbed the ‘Easter’, is set to also release on the 30th of April. The shoe will arrive in a mix of Regal Pink, Blue, White and Ghost and is set to arrive in limited quantities so be ready for its release on the **last day of April**. ## **Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’** **Releasing: 30 April 2022** The Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’ is the last release of April and Jordan Brand certainly ends the month on a strong foot. This shoe is a rerelease of the original Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’ that debuted in 2000. This shoe is a simple tweak on the OG colourway of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Sport Blue’ with it having a white leather upper and accents of navy, black and silver. The simple and clean look of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’ has made it a fan favourite and it is sure to do well in terms of popularity (and do well on the secondary market) when it releases on **30 April 2022**. ## **Air Jordan 5 ‘Green Bean’ ** **Releasing: 7 May 2022** The Air Jordan 5 ‘Green Bean’ starts off today’s list. If you have had a read of the upcoming releases between January and April article, you’ll realise that the Jordan 5 was a popular silhouette for the creative minds at Jordan Brand. The first release of may continues the trend of reinventing and rereleasing the Retro colourways. The classic colourway of the Air Jordan 5 ‘Green Bean’, which initially released in 1990, is returning to shelves on the 7th of May in the upcoming year. The shoe should come in the same fashion as the original release of the 1990s; it should have silver nubuck uppers, flint grey midsoles and eye-stays and the ‘Green Bean’ colour should hit the liners, branding and the forefoot teeth that characterise the Jordan 5 silhouette. You can expect the release to come in full family sizing and expect it to be a hit because it is a retro colourway. ## **Air Jordan 4 ‘Infrared’** **Releasing: 12 May 2022** The Air Jordan 4 ‘Infrared’ sees Jordan Brand kick off May with another pair of shoes that will be very successful. The colourway for the Air Jordan 4 ‘Infrared’ is a new one but it takes inspiration from many other models of the 4; primarily, those who have seen the shoe in real life, compare the Air Jordan 4 ‘Infrared’ with the Air Jordan 4 ‘Green Glow’ because of the construction that is a similarity between the 2 pairs. The monochrome suede construction of this shoe is capped off with a light grey colour at the toe which is said to be reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Fear’. The Air Jordan 4 ‘Infrared’ also features black plastic wings, a black sock liner, laces and a black midsole (heel part of the shoe) too. The shoe also features Infrared (a bright red) branding on the tongue logo and the eye stays. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 4 ‘Infrared’ to do very well when it releases because the Jordan 4 is one of Jordan Brand’s best selling silhouettes as of right now. ## **Air Jordan 3 ‘Neapolitan’** **Releasing: 13 May 2022** The Air Jordan 3 ‘Neapolitan’ keeps the trend of strong releases by Jordan Brand going. While this shoe is a great looking shoe that would suit all, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Neapolitan’ is a women’s only release. The shoe will come in a mix that is reminiscent of ‘Neapolitan’ ice cream (at least that’s what the shoe reminds me of!). The shoe features a white leather supper with a sail midsole; the shoe also features a dark mocha (chocolate flavoured ice cream) and light pink (strawberry flavoured ice cream) as accents. While the actual shoe has not been sighted, mock ups reveal that it will be a clean shoe that should do quite well. Jordan Brand has not released any information about the materials that will be used on the Air Jordan 3 ‘Neapolitan’ so there is not much else that we can talk about. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 3 ‘Neapolitan’ to be a hit amongst women when it releases midway through the month of May. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stage Haze’** **Releasing: 14 May 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stage Haze’ sees another strong release by Jordan Brand hit the shelves in the upcoming month of May. It is said that an accompanying Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Stage Haze’ will drop in the same week as the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stage Haze’ but this news hasn’t been confirmed as of yet. This shoe was shaping up to be one that I, personally, was very excited for but it turns out the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stage Haze’ is a women’s exclusive release. It seems that Jordan Brand are releasing some women’s exclusives in the upcoming year to make sure that everyone has access to shoes; you can be sure that these shoes will still do very well because of the fact that they look great. The colours used on the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stage Haze’ just work well together. The upper of the shoe is made a mixture of white, black and grey. The shoe features cracked black leather collars and heel caps made of grey suede that help tie the whole of the shoe together. An accent of pink comes at the tongue branding. It is said that the Low OG version of the Stage Haze pack will feature a similar construction. Overall, the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stage Haze’ is a great looking sneaker that is sure to be a hit amongst the women – be sure to snag a pair for a loved one. ## **CLOT x Air Jordan 5 Low SP** **Releasing: 20 May 2022** If you had a read of the previous article, there’s a trend that is shining through – Jordan Brand is really pushing the Jordan 5 as a silhouette, especially the low cut version of the Jordan 5 that is known as the Air Jordan 5 Low. In this case, to build up hype for the new take on a retro classic, Jordan Brand have teamed up with CLOT (that have previously done very well in terms of collaborations). The shoe really pushes the boundaries in terms of colourways that we usually see from Jordan Brand; the colourway for the CLOT x Air Jordan 5 Low SP is a mixture of a Black Metallic and Fire Red colourway. The shoe features Jade-tinted outsoles and lace locks. The shoe features the #23 in Suzhou on the lateral side too. CLOT branding on the outsole let’s onlookers know of the shoe’ origin and creative design. Overall, you can be sure that this rendition of the Air Jordan 5 will be a hit amongst hype beasts, resellers and sneakerheads alike. ## **Air Jordan 9 ‘Chile Red’** **Releasing: 27 May 2022** The Air Jordan 9 ‘Chile Red’ is a shoe that is not going to appeal to all sneakerheads – the shoe comes in an almost striking arrangement of rich red and contrasting black colours. The shoe features an almost entirely red appearance, apart from the pull tab, 23 branding at the heel, eye stays and midsole coming in a deep black colour. As stated, the full Red colour of the Air Jordan 9 ‘Chile Red’ won’t appeal to all but if you are a fan of this particular sneaker, get ready for its release that comes towards the end of May 2022. ## **Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo’** **Releasing: 4 June 2022** The Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo’ is the first release of June by Jordan Brand and it keeps the strong releases going. The Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo’ follows the recipe of success that has been followed so many times by Jordan Brand. Even though details of the shoe aren’t actually known as of yet, the Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo’ is set to arrive in OG Maroon blocking with white leather uppers. Moreover, the shoe boasts University Red accents that can be seen on the tongue, heel pull, midsole and lace locks of the shoe. You can expect all the Red Oreo coloured accents on the Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo’ to be splattered with white paint on the university Red colour. Furthermore, you can expect there to be icy blue outsole pods on the shoe with the rubber component of the shoe being of a black colour. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 6 ‘Red Oreo’ to do very well; the shoe boats a simple, clean look that is sure to be a hit amongst sneaker heads. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Volt’** **Releasing: 11 June 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Volt’ is likely to be one of the shoes released by Jordan Brand that just won’t appeal to everyone; this is because of the unique colour that has been used by Jordan Brand for the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Volt’. As the name suggests, Jordan Brand has used a Volt colour on the shoe which is reminiscent of a hue that is put out by a yellow highlighter. While there have been many Jordan 1 releases that have been pegged for 2022, none can be as bold and as bright as the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Volt’. If you haven’t seen the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Volt’ as of yet, think of the OG Chicago colourway of the Jordan 1 – simply replace the Red of the Chicago colourway with the ‘Volt’ colour that looks like a highlighter hue. The shoe features accents of black leather that contrast the bright colours of the rest of the shoe. Overall, the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Volt’ will be a shoe that splits sneakerheads - you’ll either love it or you won’t. Personally, I’m not a big fan of this release as it is just too out there for me but it may be of interest to you. ## **Air Jordan 3 ‘Dark Iris’** **Releasing: 18 June 2022** The 3rd release of June is another strong one by Jordan Brand; as of now, rumours suggest that the Air Jordan 3 ‘Dark Iris’ will arrive in full family sizing so you don’t have to worry about the shoe not being available in your size. We know that the Air Jordan 3 ‘Dark Iris’ will arrive in a mixture of white, black, purple and grey colours but we don’t know the exact formation that the shoe will take. Rumours suggest that white will take up the main part of the shoe with the logo and elephant prints being of a black colour. The ‘iris’ (purple) colour is set to adorn the eye stays, heel and midsole of the shoe. The grey colour is set to adorn the outsole of the Air Jordan 3 ‘Dark Iris’. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 3 ‘Dark Iris’ to do well when it releases and do well on the secondary market too. The shoe is a clean look on the Jordan 3 that already has some hype around it. ## **Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Black’** **Releasing: 25 June 2022** The Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Black’ is my personal favourite release of the upcoming year – without a doubt, I’ll be going after the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Black’ on various different websites and I really hope that I do get these sneakers. These sneakers follow the recipe for success; they take a great looking silhouette, perhaps one of the most iconic silhouettes ever released by Jordan Brand, and add a few simple colours to the shoe. The mixture of white, grey and black that is seen on the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Black’ leads to a great looking shoe that is sure to do rounds on both release day and the secondary market. If you too, like me, are intrigued and interested by the prospect of owning the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Black’, get ready for the release date of the shoe at the end of June. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Denim’** **Releasing: 30 June 2022** Jordan Brand likes to often end the month on a high and they have done no different when it comes to June in the upcoming year. The final release of June sees a new take on the iconic silhouette of the Jordan 1 by placing a new material on the shoe. A denim clad Jordan 1 sneaker has been in speculation for many years but finally, we see the shoe actually coming into life. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Denim’ does justice to the rumours of a denim clad Jordan 1 release. However, you may be disappointed by one fact – the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Denim’ is set to be a women’s exclusive release and there is no news from Jordan Brand as to whether the shoe will extend sizes or not. We don’t know the actual design of the shoe but rumours, from an onlooker that claims to have seen the shoe, says the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Denim’ features denim blue overlays in classic Kentucky blocking. It is said that Pastel blue hues will hit the outsoles and tongue tags of the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Denim’ and the same pastel blue will also be present on the second set of laces that come with most pairs of Jordan 1s. The release is set to be completed by a special Wings lace lock. Overall, you can be sure that these Jordan’s will be very, very hyped – you can almost be certain that resellers won’t allow most sneakerheads to get their hands on a pair. It is often releases like these that come in limited quantities so be ready to check out quickly when the shoe releases on 30 June 2022. ## **Air Jordan 7 ‘Citrus’** **Releasing: 2 July 2022** The Air Jordan 7 ‘Citrus’, which is the first release of July by Jordan Brand, is set to be a replica of the Jordan 7 ‘Citrus’ that released back in 2006, almost 16 years ago. The shoe is set to have a black suede upper with contrasting gold stitching, blocked out midsoles and pops of gold and red on the shoe too. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 7 ‘Citrus’ to be a hit amongst older sneakerheads that were fans of the original release. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stealth’** **Releasing: 16 July 2022** Jordan Brand continues with the rollout of arguably their most popular silhouette, the Air Jordan 1. You can expect the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stealth’ to have the OG Kentucky blocking according to rumours; we are still not sure of the actual design of the shoe but rumours have surfaced. The rumours suggest that the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stealth’ will have an upper of white leather with ‘Stealth’ (grey) colour overlays at the toe, mid foot, swoosh, heel and ankle flap of the shoe. Rumours and mock ups also suggest that the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stealth’ will continue with the same stealth colour through the sock liner and laces of the shoes. We also don’t know the materials that Jordan Brand will be using to make the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stealth’ come to life but you can expect the white base of the shoe to be made of leather with the overlays of the shoe being of a smooth grey leather, nubuck or suede. Overall, you can be sure that the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Stealth’ will do well – the rumours suggest that the shoe is following the same recipe for success so you can be sure that the shoe will do well when it releases in July of 2022. ## **Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘UNC’** **Releasing: 29 July 2022** The Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘UNC’ is a spin on the Jordan 1 silhouette and particularly, the Jordan 1 ‘UNC’. As you probably know, UNC actually stands for University of North Carolina which is where Michael Jordan worked his magic after high school. If you have watched ‘The Last Dance’ (I’d definitely recommend it if you haven’t!), you probably know of the importance that the University of North Carolina held for Mike and his development into the greatest basketball player of all time. It is this importance that constantly leads to the creative minds at Jordan Brand honouring the University with shoes in their name - the Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘UNC’, the penultimate release of July, sees them honouring UNC once again. This particular shoe looks pretty good – it features a smooth white leather upper with black forefoot and swoosh overlays. Furthermore, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘UNC’ features University Blue blocking in the back and a black wings logo that adorns the heel. The midsole of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘UNC’ is of a pure white and the outsole is of the same university blue as the heel of the shoe. Overall, the shoe will appeal to the masses because of its clean look and simple design. Expect it to sell out fairly quickly when it releases on 29 July 2022, but don’t expect it to go for ridiculous amounts on the secondary market. ## **Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’** **Releasing: 30 July 2022** The final release of the month of July sees another Jordan silhouette getting the Stealth treatment – we previously saw the Jordan 1 getting adorned in this colourway but in this instance, it is the Jordan 12. It is actually the 25th anniversary of the Jordan 12 (since it’s initial release was back in 1987) and thus, we may see Jordan Brand celebrating the anniversary of the shoe by releasing a few more renditions of it in the upcoming year. The Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’ is a good birthday present to the 12 as a silhouette and as a piece of history – the Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’ features a Stealth grey colour and white build in the OG-inspired ‘Obsidian’ blocking. The whole upper is of the same stealth colour (including the eye stays and pull tab) while the entire lower half of the shoe is of a pure white colour (including the midsole and outsole). Rumours suggest that the final release of the Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’ may feature some University Red accents too. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’ to do well amongst sneaker heads and resellers alike. ## **Air Jordan 12 ‘Hyper Royal’** **Releasing: 31 July 2022** Only a day after the release of the Air Jordan 12 ‘Stealth’, Jordan Brand will release the Air Jordan 12 ‘Hyper Royal’. The Air Jordan 12 ‘Hyper Royal’ will be constructed in full grain leather with the pair being split into three distinct sessions. The Air Jordan 12 ‘Hyper Royal’ will feature black uppers, Hyper Royal coloured mudguards and a pure white midsole and outsole. Furthermore, the eye stays and branding of the shoe come in a metallic silver which provides a good contrast to the simple colours of the shoe. The Air Jordan 12 ‘Hyper Royal’ is expected to release in full family sizing on the final day of July so get ready for the shoe’s release! ## **Air Jordan 5 ‘Concord’** **Releasing: 31 July 2022** It seems like 2022 will be the year of the Jordan 5 – the amount of Jordan 5s we are seeing this year is just absurd but as a sneakerhead, I’m all for it. The Air Jordan 5 will remain one of the most iconic silhouettes of all time and it seems like 2022 will be the year of a resurgence in popularity for this silhouette in the Jordan line up. The Air Jordan 5 ‘Concord’ is another clean, simple rendition of the Air Jordan 5 which does the classic silhouette justice. The upper, mesh and mudguard of the Air Jordan 5 ‘Concord’ come in a pure white colour which is contrasted by the black sole unit. Purple teeth that line the midsole match the eye stays, Jumpman logo and sock liner of the shoe. It is rumoured that the Air Jordan 5 ‘Concord’ will feature a 3M reflective tongue while the signature translucent outsole is expected to feature on this shoe too. You can expect the Air Jordan 5 ‘Concord’ to do very well when it releases on the final day of July. ## **Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’** **Releasing: 31 July 2022** Jordan Brand seems to like collaborating with Travis Scott – in the last couple of years, Jordan Brand has teamed up with Travis Scott on numerous occasions. It seems as the controversy at Astroworld (God bless anyone who was involved!) hasn’t meant led to Jordan Brand retracting their support for ‘La Flame’. It seems that a two pack of Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG will be hitting the shelves in 2022 – the dates for the release of these shoes have still not been released but it is rumoured that the first pair of the pack, the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’, will be released sometime during the month of July. The 2 pack of Air Jordan 1 Low OG’s that’ll be releasing in 2022 marks the third and fourth time that Travis Scott has put his creative spin on the low cut version of arguably the most popular sneaker silhouette of all time. So, let’s get onto the actual design of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’. The toe box and base of the shoe will be made of a Mocha coloured suede. The tongue of the shoe will feature the same coloured suede while the overlays of the shoe are of a white leather. The sole seems to be of a Sail colour while the swoosh and laces of the shoe look like they will come in a cream. We can’t be sure of the exact colours that the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’ will feature because the colours of the shoe haven’t been released. However, just the name of Travis Scott will mean that the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’ will be one of the most hyped releases of 2022. Like with anything Travis Scott touches, you can expect this shoe to be popular amongst hype beasts and sneakerheads alike. The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Reverse Mocha’ will do very well when it releases and you can expect the pair to go for absurd prices when it releases sometime in July. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Yellow Toe’** **Releasing: 13 August 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Yellow Toe’ will finally be hitting shelves in August 2022, almost three years after a sample of the pair was leaked via Twitter. It seems that the hype around the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Yellow Toe’ has not died down till date because it seems that sneakerheads all over the world are hyped for this release. The hype around the shoe may be because of the fact that Jordan Brand uses the colour yellow very sparingly; not a lot of Jordan’s are given a yellow colour, and this may be the reason why many sneakerheads are looking forward to the release of the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Yellow Toe’. The shoe follows the recipe for success aforementioned to a tee – it takes one of the most popular silhouettes and puts a few simple, clean colours on it. From pictures of the shoe, it seems that the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Yellow Toe’ will feature a slightly richer Yellow compared to the samples that were leaked in 2019. The yellow will feature on the toe box (hence the name ‘Yellow Toe’) and heel of the shoe. The base for the shoe will be a white leather and the overlays, swoosh and sock liner of the shoe will be of a black colour. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Yellow Toe’ to do very well because of the hype surrounding the shoe. If you are a fan of the design, get ready for the release of these sneakers on 13 August 2022. ## **Air Jordan 13 ‘French Blue’** **Releasing: 20 August 2022** The Air Jordan 13 ‘French Blue’ is said to take its inspiration (for the colourway) from the Air Jordan 3 ‘True Blue’ colourway – no complaints here from me because, personally, I am a big fan of the Air Jordan 3 ‘True Blue’. The Air Jordan 13 ‘French Blue’ is the second release of August and it definitely keeps the trend up of strong releases by Jordan Brand. The upper half of the Air Jordan 13 ‘French Blue’ is of a white leather upper. The front of the shoe is made of a grey suede while the back of the shoe features the French Blue colour where the shoe gets its name from. The midsole of the shoe is of a different blue than the French Blue and it contrasts very well. A solitary splash of Red adorns the Jumpman logo of the tongue on the Air Jordan 13 ‘French Blue’. Overall, the Air Jordan 13 ‘French Blue’ is a strong release that you can expect to do very well on 20 August 2022 even though it takes a colourway from one shoe and slaps it onto another. ## **Air Jordan 4 ‘Canyon Purple’** **Releasing: 25 August 2022** The Air Jordan 4 ‘Canyon Purple’ is a new take on the classic silhouette of the Jordan 4 and is the 4th Jordan 4 release of the year – we saw the ‘Red Thunder’, ‘Infrared’ and ‘Military Black’ already being released this year but the Air Jordan 4 ‘Canyon Purple’ is unlike the other 3 as it chooses to push the boundaries in terms of colourways. We are yet to see the Air Jordan 4 ‘Canyon Purple’, however, a reliable source has revealed the details about this pair of sneakers. The Air Jordan 4 ‘Canyon Purple’ will feature a muted purple suede across the pair’s upper with splashes of Anthracite (a dark grey colour) to serve as a contrast. The anthracite will be present on the netting, tongue tags, wings, heel tabs and laces of this pair of sneakers. To top off this already unique shoe, the creative minds at Jordan Brand have decided to add an alligator green coloured sole unit and eyelets of the same colour. The shoe also features pops of Safety Orange. There is always hype around Purple Jordan’s and thus, you can expect the Air Jordan 4 ‘Canyon Purple’ to do well when it first releases. Additionally, you can expect this pair of sneakers to do well on the secondary market too. ## **Air Jordan 4 SE ‘Olive Canvas’** **Releasing: 27 August 2022** August sees another release of the Air Jordan 4 (the 5th colourway of this year) in the form of the Air Jordan 4 SE ‘Olive Canvas’. It is not often that we see Jordan Brand use the canvas material so the Air Jordan 4 SE ‘Olive Canvas’ is quite a hyped release for the upcoming year. The olive colour that has been used on this pair of sneakers is reminiscent of the olive colour on the Air Jordan 4 Undefeated collaboration. To complement the Olive coloured canvas of the upper, the Air Jordan 4 SE ‘Olive Canvas’ boasts black netting, black tongue tags, black wings and black heel caps too. The sole unit of the shoe features a contrasting white midsole and black outsole to top off the shoes. Furthermore, the creative minds at Jordan Brand thought it was right to throw in another couple of colours to the mix – we see the shoe has grey accents at the tongue and heel branding but it has fire red laces. Overall, the Air Jordan 4 SE ‘Olive Canvas’ is another strong release by Jordan Brand that is sure to do well when it releases near the end of August. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Starfish’** **Releasing: 31 August 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Starfish’ is one of the two releases by Jordan Brand on the final day of August. This shoe is another one of the releases by Jordan Brand that is set to be a women’s only release. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Starfish’ is said by those who have seen the shoe in person to be the most intricate shoe release of the year which is quite a statement; it is said that the shoe will feature details like in-cut Checks, extra stitch work throughout and a woven leather collar too. This shoe is set to be a great looking shoe – the colourway that is rumoured for this shoe simply adds to the appeal of the shoe. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Starfish’ is set to come in a shattered blackboard scheme but the colours being used on this pair of sneakers are Starfish (a shade of orange), black and sail. Despite it being a women’s release, Jordan Brand has been clever enough to extend the sizing for the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Starfish’. The creative minds at Jordan Brand know that the prospect of having a pair of these sneakers will apply to both men and women, and thus, they have extended the sizing to US 12 for women; this translates to US 10.5 or UK 9.5 for men. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Starfish’ to be popular and you can expect the shoe to sell out within seconds when it releases on 21 July 2022. ## **Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’** **Releasing: 31 August 2022** The Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’ is shaping up to be the most anticipated Jordan 3 release of the year. Any Jordan sneaker that has the OG label attached to it is always extremely hyped and the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’ is no different – the OG label just seems to attract all sneakerheads all over the world. The original release of the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’ was back in 1988, amongst the other 3 OG colourways. The other 3 OG colour schemes of the shoes are White Cement, Black Cement and True Blue. The reason that the August release of the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’ is causing such a stir in the sneaker world is because of the fact that it is the first time that we will see the OG Nike Air branding on the Jordan 3 since 1988. The Fire Red 3s were released twice in 2007 and 2013, but the Jumpman branding that was present on these shoes just didn’t have the same appeal as the Nike Air branding that is seen on this iteration of the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’. You can be sure that sneakerheads all around the world will be gunning for the release of the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’ so don’t be disappointed if you aren’t able to snag a pair – in fact, if you are able to grab a pair of the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Fire Red’, consider yourself lucky. ## **Air Jordan 6 ‘Georgetown’** **Releasing: 3 September 2022** The Air Jordan 6 is the next sneaker that gets the ‘Georgetown’ treatment. It is said that the Air Jordan 6 ‘Georgetown’ comes as an honour to the university of one of Michael Jordan’s toughest opponents, Patrick Ewing. Patrick Ewing went to the University of Georgetown; the other sneaker to get the Georgetown treatment was the Air Jordan 1 High ’85. The Air Jordan 6 ‘Georgetown’ comes as a great looking shoe – the upper of the shoe comes in an all grey suede while the midsole comes in a college navy. Furthermore, the outsole of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Georgetown’ comes in a white outsole. Overall, the Air Jordan 6 ‘Georgetown’ is another strong release by Jordan Brand that is set to hit shelves in the upcoming year – you can be sure that the shoe will be popular among sneakerheads, specifically those who are fans of simple and clean renditions of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Georgetown’. ## **Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heirloom’** **Releasing: 17 September 2022** The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heirloom’ moves away from the white leather that we are used to seeing on the silhouette of the Jordan 1. The creative minds at Jordan Brand have recognised that the Jordan 1 is their most popular silhouette and have keep the support of this Jordan up so all consumers can be satisfied – it seems that Jordan is constantly giving us a chance to snag a pair of Jordan 1s to add to our respective collections. The shoe will feature blocking that was originally seen on the Shadow 2.0 release from a couple of years back; the latest shoe to get this treatment was the Air Jordan 1 High ‘Marina Blue’ that is set to release on 22 January 2022. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heirloom’ is set to have the same blocking but have different materials used – the base of this pair of shoes will be of a black leather but the overlays of the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heirloom’ will be of a tan leather that has been dubbed ‘vachetta’ in the colourway of the shoe. The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heirloom’ is also tipped to have a gum sole to complement the tan leather and colours that are seen in the upper half of the shoe. The title of the shoe, ‘Heirloom’, suggests that this pair of sneakers may come with a vintage look. The way in which Jordan Brand will do this is unclear but you can be sure that the name of the shoe hints at something. Overall, you can expect the Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Heirloom’ to do very well on both initial release and on the secondary market. ## **Air Jordan 11 Low IE ‘Grey’** **Releasing: 30 September 2022** The annual release of the Air Jordan 11 IE is set to come on the last day of September (if we look at trends, it is clear that Jordan Brand is making a conscious effort to ensure that a strong pair of shoes is released on the last day of each month). The Air Jordan 11 IE is a ‘new take’ on an iconic classic; personally, I am not the biggest fan of this shoe in general but it is perfectly fine if you are. This version of the Air Jordan 11 IE, dubbed the ‘Grey’, is set to come in a mixture white, black and, of course, grey. The upper is set to be of a grey leather with grey suede overlays with contrasting white tongues, laces, midsoles. The sock liner and branding of the Air Jordan 11 IE ‘Grey’ is set to be of a black colour. Overall, the Air Jordan 11 IE is a shoe that is bound to appeal to some out there but it’d be a sin to say that it is a hyped release. ## **Air Jordan 14 ‘Ginger’** **Releasing: 30 September 2022** 2021 was a great for many Jordan silhouettes but a surprise breakout was the Jordan 14; the 14, which certainly can’t be dubbed the best silhouette from the extensive Jordan line up, did very well. It seems that Jordan Brand were trying to push the Jordan 14 last year in order to create some support for the shoe and it has worked. While this shoe won’t appeal to all that are out there, the Air Jordan 14 ‘Ginger’ will do very well among serious collectors of shoes released by Jordan Brand. This is because of the fact that the Air Jordan 14 ‘Ginger’ may be the only Jordan 14 Retro type release that we will see in the next couple of years. Thus, the prospect of owning a shoe that may not be released for a couple of years may appeal to some sneakerheads. You can expect the Air Jordan 14 ‘Ginger’ to come in a mix of black, a ginger type colour and white. Once again, this rendition of the 14 won’t be the most hyped release of the year but don’t let that take away from the shoe in any way. ## **Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’** **Releasing: 30 November 2022** The Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’ is a homage to the 30th anniversary of the Jordan 7 as a silhouette – this silhouette was initially drafted up by Tinker Hatfield in 1992 and is considered one of Jordan Brand’s more successful silhouettes. The Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’ attempts to bring some character and energy to the silhouette, similar to how the genre of Afrobeats is bringing energy to the Music scene. If we look up a definition for ‘Afrobeats’ as a genre, it says that – ‘Afrobeats is a music genre that involved the combination of elements of West African musical styles such as Fuji music and highlife with American jazz and later soul and funk influences, with a focus on chanted vocals, complex interesting rhythms, and percussion’. We can imagine Afrobeats to be a mixture of different musical elements and the Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’ incorporate this into their design. The Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’ sees a mix of heritage inspired prints hit various parts of the shoe – most notably the inner of the tongue, the quarter and also on the forefoot of this pair of sneakers. The colour scheme of this shoe is fairly earthy, with mixtures of tan and black hitting the shoe. To spice up the design of this shoe a bit, the creative minds at Jordan Brand have decided to employ a few pops of purple through the Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’ too. Overall, you can expect the shoe to do well when it releases on 30 November 2022; as it is a Special Edition (SE) shoe, the Air Jordan 7 SE ‘Afrobeats’ will arrive in limited quantities so be quick if you are looking to grab a pair for yourselves. ## **PSG x Air Jordan 5 Low** **Releasing: Unknown** We know that the 5th PSG and Jordan Brand collaboration will hit the shelves in 2022 but we don’t know much else at all. Jordan Brand has not released the colour scheme for the PSG x Air Jordan 5 Low but a reputable source is saying that the shoe will come in the same colours as the PSG third kit – the colours of the kit are a mixture of pumice, game royal, black and plum eclipse. We don’t know the materials that will be used on the shoe nor the release date but you can be sure that this shoe will do pretty well when it releases because of the fact that it is a collaboration with 2 international powerhouses. ## **J Balvin x Air Jordan 2** **Releasing: Unknown** J Balvin, a reggaeton artist, is known globally for his wild fashion sense. Rumours have it that Jordan Brand have allowed Balvin to have creative freedom over a sneaker that they are looking to push in the upcoming year, the Jordan 2. We don’t know when the collaboration will release (apart from the fact that it will come in 2022), the colours that will be used or the look of the shoe. However, we can almost guarantee that the shoe will become an instant hit. It seems that anything J Balvin touches becomes an instant hit in the sneaker world and you can expect this Jordan 2 to be no different. ## **Trophy Room x Air Jordan 7** **Releasing: Unknown** While the previous Trophy Room collaboration had some controversy around it, Jordan Brand won’t allow the same to happen with the upcoming release of the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 7. The colours of the shoe have been leaked and so have the materials but Jordan Brand may alter this design when the shoe releases. The colours that are presumed to go on the shoe are blue, white and red with a mixture of suede and leather being used. Overall, you can expect the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 7 collaboration to do well because of the hype around this collaboration and because of the controversy that surrounded the last collaboration between these brands. ## **Clot x Air Jordan 1 Mid** **Releasing: Unknown** Clot has been given free reign over the Air Jordan 1 Mid and it seems they have worked their magic – the shoe will arrive sometime in 2022 and you can expect it do well when it releases. Rumours suggest that the shoe will arrive in a mixture of sail, grey and white. ## **Conclusion** Jordan Brand hasn’t released news about many shoes down the line but you can expect there to be many more releases than stated here. This is because of the fact that Jordan Brand often spring surprise releases on us and because of the fact that Jordan Brand hasn’t released news about when shoes will be releasing. They keep a tight security protocol to make sure that not many leaks get out and it seems that this security protocol is working well. As time goes on, you can expect Jordan Brand to announce many more releases so don’t be disappointed if your favourite silhouette has not made the list yet.
